Roles in National / International ENT Organisations

The mark of a more senior professional is their grasp of the significance of making a contribution to the professional development of their colleagues and the progress of their profession. Mr. Milford has been involved in such issues for the past 20 years and his work has led to the following appointments / involvement:

  • Secretary of Laryngology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine 1994/1995
  • Honorary Secretary of the National ENT Association (ENTUK) 2002 – 2008
  • Elected by his peers to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008 and served until 2014. The Council consists of 24 elected trustees from all branches of surgery and is the governing body of the College
  • Elected as General Secretary of UEMS ORL (the Union of European Medical Specialists in ENT) in 2010 and served until 2015. This group aims to improve training standards throughout Europe with the ultimate goal of improving patient care
